"Subtle sense of sarcasm" on Steve Grand's Next Album

Singer/Songwriter Steve Grand got some love and apparently an on the sly interview with The Huffington Post. The post was pretty much THP giving the 3 Year of "All-American Boy"/Steve's career thus far vlog some promo, mentioning the AT&T Live Proud campaign and even mentioning his latest July exclusive t-shirt profits going to Orlando/Pulse Nightclub survivors and family affected by the shooting.

Here's what to note from the article itself:

- They did touch upon the needless criticism Grand received back in March for an out of context statement made to PrideSource in an interview. Grand did admit that what he said never really came through as he intended, which is better in the long run. I saw nothing wrong and still think the criticism he got was fucking stupid. Everyone's biased; I'm one of the few to admit it.

- It's not really a new album brief, but the "subtle sense of sarcasm" description of the upcoming sophomore effort is symbolic in its own right. Between the "dark, edgy, gritty" brief from the Billboard interview last year and this description, I'm now convinced that "edgy" thing was a front.

In this context, it seemed like Grand was only using "dark, edgy, gritty" as a way of still getting the anger he harbored for LGBT outlets like Queerty, Towleroad, trolls on Twitter, etc. for acting like he's wrong for wanting EQUAL coverage on music & "Speedo pictures".

Still, once singles from this upcoming effort are released [well after 400 takes of each song are done & HE'S happy with them] the sure sign of the album's direction will be confirmed if we find out anything about that "righteous anger at the church" song.

- Light-hearted note, some of the photoshop fuckery Steve initiated is getting some attention. I myself contributed many entries and 2 of mine made his Instagram...the Madonna one getting mentioned in this article.

Thanks to The Huffington Post for giving him some better press. [Again, everyone's biased; I'm one of the few to admit it.]

Max Emerson's Boyfriend Stans Steve Grand

In something of a twist I'll be writing and shading a road trip video of Underpants Model, LGBT homeless youth advocate and in turn creator of the soon to be post production Hooked Project, YouTube enthusiast and attractive spaz Max Emerson.

In this video via a sponsorship by Cricket Wireless, Max treats his boo-thang Andres to a road trip from Chicago to Detroit [when Motor City Pride was happening at the time of filming] to see Andres' favorite singer/songwriter, Steve Grand. STAY IN YOUR LANE, CLONE*.

*Clone (n.)(s.) [as I understand it] - 1. A term used by one member of a fandom used to describe another member of a fandom as being "some brand new bitch up in here, acting fresh like laundry." 2. Usually meant as a slight to someone in terms of devotion or appreciation of the celebrity figure for whom both parties happen to fan out over.

OBSERVATIONS: If Andres knew what was good for him, he'd count his fucking blessings knowing he has sex with a GODDAMN MODEL (As in not some liar on Instagram but an actual model) who is literate like Max Emerson.

- Max somehow knows that dreams can come true without the help of Penthouse Forum.

- Andres' presentation sounds about as interesting as Georgia-Pacific drywall looks.

- THUMBS UP...TSA humor is apparently still a thing, but as the great Celebrity Deathmatch star Mills Lane says, "I'll allow it."

- SEE? I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO PLAYS UP JEALOUS RAGE. Sorry, I'm projecting; also a flight landing late in Chicago just means that it's another weekday at O'Hare International.

-_- Andres, you pack of TRIED-IT Layers. Naming a cat after your favorite artist? You might as well be like that Subway commercial and name your firstborn "Avocado".

- My guess is that it was "Back to California" that made Max's head want to explode after hearing it 6 going on 7 times. I don't blame Max. Steve does have better material than that song. Either BTC or maybe it was "Look Away", which if that's the case take your rage with Eli Lieb and not Steve.

-_- Max...I was about #FourFiveSeconds from beating you with words, but you corrected yourself by not calling Steve Grand this frame.

- Max is most likely basing the "Cat-nip for Dudes in the Military" comment about Sgt. Tanner White's Marine Corps Ball PROM-Posal Extravaganza. That and Andres served in the military for a hot minute.

- A SUSPENDERS from Disbelief Moment as Steve mounts Andres...goddamnit; word choice. Max's successful coordination with Steve and co. works to create a "surprise" moment of Steve appearing before Andres.

- "Your favorite country artist..." RING THE ALARM, Max did not just desecrate Steve like that...[note for the LGBT outlets out there, this is for you since research is not a priority of yours.]

"I'm so sick of this; I'M NOT. COUNTRY."
- Steve Grand

- Andres tries to be funny; it's somewhat effective as base sarcasm works for Type A personalities.

- Speaking of signed 8X10 photographs, head to to buy t-shirts, CD & Vinyl units of All American Boy signed or not, posters and...signed 8X10 photographs. That's *RuPaul wink*

- "BITCH, STOP YO' CRYIN'. THE REAL WORLD IS GONNA EAT YOU ALIVE!" What? I like the Stevie Ryan character Katrina. It's a quote; goddamnit.

See? I can blog assist someone else besides Steve...if he gets some appearance in it without it being a commercial for the hookup app SURGE [hey DaveyWavey, get that partnership coin.] AND I didn't assume Max got the best professional of his life from his boyfriend...never mind. Blog assist is over.

Steve Grand 3 Years Later & What to Expect

Happy 4th of July & sorry this isn't actually ON THE 3 YEAR MARK OF HIS CAREER [I made up for some fuckery I was not in control of by marking this occasion on Twitter.]

Singer/songwriter & All-American Homo (Well "All American 'Mo" on Twitter as to fit his business contacts in. #GrindNowShineLater) Steve Grand celebrated the 3 year mark of his debut song/video "All-American Boy" [July 2, 2013] and in turn the first and last time BuzzFeed attempted to give a shit about his music [July 3rd, 2013].

Instead of OBSERVATIONS like any other Gu-vlog entry, I'm going to list some things to look forward to IN DUE TIME with Grand's intents.

IN DUE TIME: Tour dates extending into September with that month having a show in Nags Head, NC marking his 2nd NC show he will play as result of him being an openly gay artist AND activist.

- 1 vlog entry either once every week or every other week seeing that his touring schedule is getting busier. This is actually a good thing seeing that touring is the reason he can function as a non-major label artist.

- Impromptu cover(s) released with his Bandcamp,, being his preferred venue for those with money to buy and support. Spotify may come later as he sees fit and iTunes seems to suck less with his impromptu covers.

- New original singles to be released as Grand sees fit with ONE confirmed title of "Don't Let the Light In".

- A sophomore effort that described in PrideSource in March was to be "grittier"/"darker"/"edgier" than his debut.

- Photoshop fuckery from the #GrandFam and believe me will THAT keep happening.

Thanks for the sweet words Steve. I miss your rambling but you take the good, you take the bad and there you have...a theme song.

To start validating Grand, subscribe to his YouTube channel or at least like and/or share his videos. Social media wise, keep to the ground on any of the big 3 he promotes:

To find out if he's coming to your neck of the woods or if you think you can see him near you, head to or as he'd tell you to do, get the Bandsintown app for tickets and more info.
